Redox Bio-Nutrients Launches RDX-Flex Foliar Nitrogen Technology

Redox Bio-Nutrients Launches RDX-Flex Foliar Nitrogen Technology

Posted on September 26, 2026September 26, 2026 by Farm News Daily

Redox Bio-Nutrients has rolled out RDX-Flex, a new foliar nitrogen technology built to give farmers more flexibility in their nitrogen programs. The Burley, Idaho-based company announced the product on Sept. 22, 2026. RDX-Flex uses the same patented botanical-extract technology found in Redox’s earlier product, RDX-N. However, it comes as a 10% urea nitrogen formulation made specifically for foliar application. Growers can now apply the technology later in the season, adding a new tool for supporting nitrogen use and crop quality.

What Sets RDX-Flex Apart From RDX-N

RDX-N hit the market first as a soil-applied product used at planting. RDX-Flex, on the other hand, targets foliar timings later in the growing season. Both products rely on Redox’s patented botanical-extract technology, which works inside the plant. It supports the natural processes plants use to absorb nitrogen and convert it into amino acids and other compounds. Those compounds drive plant growth, yield and overall crop quality.

Darin Moon, founder, owner and CEO of Redox Bio-Nutrients, said RDX-Flex builds on more than a decade of work refining the company’s nitrogen technology. “It gives growers more flexibility in how and when they put this technology to work, creating additional opportunities to support nitrogen utilization, yield and crop quality throughout the season,” Moon said. That flexibility matters because nitrogen needs shift as crops move through different growth stages.

How Growers Can Fit RDX-Flex Into Existing Programs

Because RDX-N and RDX-Flex work at different points in the season, farmers can use them together or on their own. RDX-N goes into the soil at planting, while RDX-Flex handles later foliar applications. Both products stay shelf stable and remain effective at low use rates, which helps keep application costs manageable. Additionally, both mix well with a wide range of commonly used crop inputs, so growers don’t need to overhaul their existing spray programs.

Redox designed the two products to complement each other rather than compete for the same job. A grower might choose RDX-N alone, RDX-Flex alone, or both together depending on the crop, the nitrogen strategy already in place, and the broader fertility program. That kind of choice is exactly what Redox aims to offer with this expansion.

Why Nitrogen Efficiency Matters for Farmers and Ranchers

Nitrogen management remains one of the biggest cost and performance factors in crop production. When plants use nitrogen efficiently, farmers see better yields and stronger crop quality without necessarily increasing input costs. Consequently, tools that improve how a plant assimilates nitrogen can have a direct effect on a farm’s bottom line. Furthermore, better nitrogen efficiency can reduce the amount of unused nitrogen left in fields, which matters for both cost control and environmental stewardship.

RDX-Flex is available now through Redox Bio-Nutrients and its regional agronomists. The launch gives growers another option as they plan nitrogen strategies for the coming season. Farmers interested in adjusting their nitrogen programs should watch how RDX-Flex performs across different crops and regions as more growers adopt it. For farmers weighing new tools, understanding the science behind agriculture technology like RDX-Flex can help inform decisions within a broader precision agriculture approach, especially for those managing commodity crops with tight nitrogen budgets.
