Product of USA Label Grows With 10 New Companies
The Product of USA label is gaining ground, and ten new meat and poultry companies have now joined the effort. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced the expansion on July 10, 2026, from Washington, D.C. Because the label is voluntary, each company chose to sign on. As a result, shoppers can more easily spot products born, raised, harvested, and processed entirely in the United States.
USDA launched a nationwide awareness campaign for the initiative earlier this year. Since then, more processors across the country have committed to using the label. Consequently, families gain greater confidence that the meat they buy directly supports American farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.
What the Product of USA Label Means for Shoppers
For many consumers, the origin of their food remains a mystery. The Product of USA label aims to change that. When a package carries the claim, it signals the animal was born, raised, harvested, and processed here at home.
“President Trump has made it clear that when American families buy American products, they should know exactly what they’re getting,” Rollins said. “The Product of USA label gives consumers confidence that the meat, poultry, and egg products they purchase come from animals born, raised, harvested, and processed right here in the United States.”
Rollins added that every new company represents another win for ranchers, processors, and rural towns. Furthermore, she pledged that USDA will keep working to strengthen domestic food production.
Ten New Companies Join the Initiative
The newest processors to adopt the label span the country. They include Harris Ranch and One World Beef in California, along with Upper Iowa Beef in Iowa. Additionally, American Foods Group operates in multiple locations, while Agri Beef calls Idaho home.
The list continues with FPL Food in Georgia and Hadrick Farms in South Dakota. Fort Worth Meats represents Texas, Wholestone Farms represents Nebraska, and Harrison’s Poultry rounds out the group in Illinois. Together, these companies reflect the range of American agriculture, from large operations to small family businesses.
Family Businesses Embrace the Product of USA Label
Some of the newest participants have deep roots in their communities. For example, Harrison’s Poultry has served the same area for generations.
“We’re a four-generation family business, and since 1893 supporting this community has been at the heart of how we operate,” said Kyle Zimmerman, co-president and co-owner of Harrison’s Poultry. “As one of the smaller, family-owned names in the program, we’re proud to commit to the Product of USA label.”
Others pointed to honesty as the driving reason. “Origin should never be a mystery,” said Juan Ramos, founder and CEO of Fort Worth Meats. “Consumers deserve labels they can trust, U.S. producers deserve recognition for what they produce, and every meat product should be represented honestly for what it is.”
Eric Brandt, president of One World Beef, echoed that view. “Now more than ever, consumers deserve to know where their food comes from,” he said. “We are grateful for USDA’s leadership in strengthening transparency, supporting American agriculture, and helping preserve the future of independent ranching for generations to come.”
How the Label Supports Independent Ranchers
The label fits into a larger strategy to strengthen the beef industry. USDA wants to support independent ranchers, family farmers, and small- and mid-sized processors. By creating new market opportunities for fully American products, the agency helps producers compete and grow.
Last month, Rollins announced the Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers, or SPUR, Program. That initiative provides up to $500 million to help eligible small- and mid-sized beef processors expand domestic capacity. Meanwhile, several companies in the Product of USA initiative are expected to benefit from SPUR as well.
Together, the two efforts aim to strengthen America’s meat supply chain. Consequently, more producers can invest in processing and reach hungry consumers with confidence.
What Comes Next for the Product of USA Label
USDA continues to receive strong interest from processors nationwide. Therefore, more companies are expected to adopt the Product of USA label in the coming months. As consumer demand for authentic American meat grows, that momentum should continue.
For growers and ranchers, this trend matters. Honest labeling honors their work and connects them directly with the families they feed. Finally, it gives shoppers a simple, trustworthy way to support the people who put food on the table.
