Precision Planting summer agronomy sessions are back, and farmers across the country now have two free, full-day opportunities to sharpen their soil fertility knowledge this summer. The company announced its Radicle Summit, set for July 22, 2026, in Tremont, Illinois, along with Precision Technology Institute (PTI) Agronomy Days, running July 28-31 and August 4-7 in Pontiac.
Both events aim to give growers hands-on learning experiences. Additionally, they offer research-backed insights that farmers can put to work on their own operations. For many producers, these gatherings have become a summer tradition.

Inside the Radicle Summit
The Radicle Summit kicks off the summer lineup on July 22 at Precision Planting headquarters in Tremont. Throughout the day, attendees will learn practical strategies for soil testing, analyzing fertility data and finding savings in high-fertility fields.
“Nutrients are one of the biggest expenses farmers have each year,” said Dale Koch, senior director, Radicle Agronomics. “Finding soil testing solutions which not only make it easier but also help maximize dollars is important no matter the size or type of operation. Our goal for farmers attending the summit is to provide those solutions.”
Sessions will walk farmers through ways to get more value from their fertilizer investment. Furthermore, attendees will get an early look at Sample-to-Script, a new Radicle Agronomics offering designed to simplify soil testing.
The day also covers fertilizer application strategies and how new data is shaping nitrogen recommendations for the future. Finally, a Q&A session will lead into a new technology announcement from Radicle Agronomics.
What to Expect at PTI Agronomy Days
Beginning July 28 and repeating the week of August 4, Agronomy Days at the PTI Farm in Pontiac will highlight research, equipment optimization, sprayer advancements, fertility placement and seed emergence. Because sessions repeat daily, farmers can choose the day that fits their schedule.
“Since 2018, we’ve been conducting research and hosting farmers at our PTI Farm to help better understand key on-farm needs and better solve on-farm problems,” said Jason Webster, lead commercial agronomist, Precision Planting. “This year, we’re hosting eight total sessions with sessions repeating daily for the duration of Agronomy days, so farmers have plenty of opportunity to pick a day that works for them.”
This year’s hands-on lineup covers a wide range of topics. For example, attendees can try a UTV demo experience featuring Symphony Sprayer solutions. Additionally, they can explore Clarity blockage monitoring and Radicle Agronomics soil sampling to guide fertilizer investment.
Other stops include fine-tuning planter performance and plant emergence with Panorama. Meanwhile, farmers can see the benefits of autonomous field operation through PTx Trimble OutRun and Water Management.
The tour also features an in-field look at seed orientation, powered by Precision Planting’s Cornerstone Planting System and ArrowTube technology. To wrap things up, Webster leads a tram-guided agronomy tour of the PTI Farm.
