New Holland WORKMASTER Compact Tractors Grow With Three New Models

New Holland WORKMASTER compact tractors just got a serious boost. On Sept. 1, 2026, New Holland North America announced three new models joining its WORKMASTER C Series lineup for 2027. The WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C range from 47 to 57 engine horsepower. Each one targets acreage owners, livestock producers, municipalities and property maintenance crews who want more from a single machine. As a result, the company continues to expand its footprint in the growing compact utility segment.
The three tractors share an operator-first design. Additionally, they bring upgraded loader and backhoe attachments, better comfort features and connectivity-ready technology. All three are available to order through New Holland dealers now, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2026.
More Power in the New Holland WORKMASTER Compact Tractors
Compact tractors play a big role across North America. They serve hay producers, rural property owners, landscape contractors and small-town public works teams alike. Because of that broad demand, New Holland built the new WORKMASTER 45C (47 engine hp), 50C (52 engine hp) and 55C (57 engine hp) to handle a wide range of jobs.
Each tractor uses a turbocharged 3-cylinder, 1.9-liter engine. Together, these engines deliver up to 49 PTO horsepower. Meanwhile, the rear hitch lifts 2,320 pounds at 24 inches behind the ball ends. Therefore, operators can confidently manage many implements and attachments.
Buyers also get a choice of transmissions. For example, they can pick a 12×12 synchronized gear setup or a 3-speed servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission. Furthermore, an electric cruise control kit can be added to the HST models.
“Compact tractor customers are asking more from a single machine than ever before,” said Cory Hunt, compact tractor product specialist for New Holland North America. “The WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C were designed for customers who need more power, more lift capacity and more versatility without stepping into a traditional utility tractor.”
Comfort Upgrades Built for Long Days

Long days in the field call for a better seat and a smarter layout. As a result, New Holland redesigned the operator environment across the expanded WORKMASTER C Series. Ergonomics and safety guided the design of each new operator station.
The workstation features a wide platform and improved grab rails. It also adds suspended pedals, an enhanced instrument cluster and a comfortable seating position. Additionally, buyers can choose an optional rubber floor mat for extra comfort.
Loader work often means constant forward-and-reverse motion. Consequently, New Holland offers the optional servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission to reduce pedal effort. Compared with traditional mechanical hydrostatic systems, it helps operators stay comfortable during repetitive tasks.
Smarter Attachments for the WORKMASTER Compact Tractors
New Holland developed its new LC Series loaders alongside these tractors. Because the two were designed together, they form an integrated tractor-loader solution for material handling. The loaders offer simultaneous lift-and-curl functionality for smooth, efficient operation.
The numbers back up the design. For instance, the 270LC reaches a maximum lift height of 110 inches, or 9.1 feet. Its lift capacity is 1,697 pounds, measured 500mm forward of the pivot pin.
Customers who want more versatility can add the new 380BC backhoe. It includes multiple bucket options, a mechanical thumb option and a dedicated mounting system built for the platform. Moreover, the 380BC offers four bucket sizes, 12, 16, 18 and 24 inches, with the 16-inch as standard. Each bucket handles an 8-foot maximum digging length.
Hydraulics get attention, too. Each tractor uses two hydraulic pumps to supply ample flow for attachments. Therefore, power steering stays uninterrupted regardless of the hydraulic load. A new stackable rear remote valve slice design lets operators tailor rear remotes to their needs, while a live third-function option kit runs grapples, 4-in-1 buckets and other advanced attachments.
Connectivity That Keeps Simplicity Intact
Every WORKMASTER C Series tractor ships telematics-ready from the factory. Customers can add the CM100 modem and connect to FieldOps. From there, they gain machine tracking, geofencing, machine alerts, preventative maintenance notifications and operating history.
This approach balances technology with the value many buyers prefer. Instead of forcing complexity, New Holland lets owners opt into precision tools. As a result, the tractors stay simple while offering real connected benefits. These WORKMASTER Class 3 tractors are all connectivity-ready and support enhanced dealer support opportunities.
What Growers Should Watch Next
The new WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C matter because they push New Holland deeper into the compact utility market. They combine more power, better comfort and optional connectivity in machines built for everyday farm and property work. Because dealers can take orders now, buyers can plan for deliveries in late 2026.
Farmers and ranchers should watch dealer availability and attachment options closely as the rollout continues. The new WORKMASTER 55C will also appear in the New Holland booth (#202) at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. For growers weighing their next purchase, the expanded New Holland WORKMASTER compact tractors lineup offers plenty to consider.
