Agriculture is a dangerous business, and dairy is no exception. Too often, hazards are identified and addressed only after an accident occurs. Join the National Young Cooperators Program for a webinar for dairy owners and managers to build their safety management skills and pursue a reduction in injuries, illnesses and fatalities. The presentation will provide an overview of state-of-the-art digital tools that can be used to manage worker safety and health. The session, led by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Aaron Yoder, PhD, will include a discussion of mobile apps, online mapping and wearable technology that can be used to protect agricultural workers.

Aaron grew up in Pennsylvania where he spent time working on his grandfather’s beef farm. He has a BS and MS from the Pennsylvania State University and a PhD from Purdue University. He previously worked for Penn State Extension as an Extension Safety Associate. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental, Agricultural and Occupational Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Extension.
