Farm News Daily is committed to providing farmers, ranchers, and agriculture professionals with accurate, useful information about the industry. This page explains how we source our stories, how AI fits into our process, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
What We Cover
We cover agriculture technology, agriculture policy, and the faith and family life of rural America. You can read more about our mission on our About page.
How We Source and Report
Most of our stories start from a press release, a government filing, or another primary source, which we rewrite in our own words and fact-check against that source — we don’t add quotes, statistics, or claims the source material doesn’t support. Some content on Farm News Daily comes from AgPR, a wire service for agriculture news, and runs largely as provided; wire content is labeled as such.
Use of AI in Our Editorial Process
Farm News Daily is produced by a small team, and we use AI to help us build an efficient, end-to-end content creation system — from gathering, auditing and drafting source material into first drafts to generating supporting details like headlines and summaries. AI helps us cover more of agriculture, more consistently, without cutting corners on accuracy.
Every article is reviewed and edited by a human editor before it publishes. Nothing goes live automatically. When we cover legislation specifically, we hold to strict standards: we never state a bill has become law unless it has, and we never describe provisions beyond what the bill’s actual text or official summary supports.
We believe readers deserve to know how their news is made, and we’ll continue to be upfront about it as our process evolves.
Editorial Independence
Advertising and sponsorships on Farm News Daily are clearly separated from our news coverage and never influence what we report or how we report it. Sponsored placements and press releases are labeled as such, not presented as staff-reported news.
Accuracy and Corrections
We aim to get every story right the first time. When we make a mistake, we correct it. If you believe something we’ve published is inaccurate, let us know through our Contact page and we’ll look into it.
Our Approach to Opinion and Analysis
Our news coverage is reported factually and without political bias. Where we publish analysis — such as our Ag Policy Watch breakdowns of pending legislation — it’s clearly labeled as analysis, and we hold it to the same evidentiary standard as our reporting: any claim about a bill’s impact has to be traceable to what the bill actually says.
Ownership
Farm News Daily is a North American Ag Media Property, founded by Chrissy Wozniak. Read more on our About page.
